We wanted to create something that truly captures the essence of where we come from. Found in our own backyard — deep in the wild forests of Northern Sweden — we fell in love with the lingonberry . Often looked as the ugly duckling of flavors—too tart, too bitter, too wild to stand alone. But that’s its magic. When balanced just right, its sharp bitterness transform into something unique and complex. Once overlooked, it becomes the bold, unexpected star — perfect for an bitter aperitif .
If we hadn’t pursued this journey, we might have been the ones left feeling bitter. Bitter about watching Swedish nature’s finest ingredients go unnoticed. Bitter about settling for mass produced flavors instead of creating something truly authentic. Bitter about not taking the chance to craft a drink that reflects the raw, untamed beauty of our northern home.
Luckily, we chose a different path. Instead of dwelling on what could have been, we put our passion into every bottle of Lingari®. Now, the only thing that’s bitter — is our aperitif.
